Sunday, August 17. Departed Waukegan, IL before dawn and still barely made Milwaukee before dark. Wind on the nose 15-20 true all day long. McKinley Marina.

A few of the old Great Lakes work boats are still fishing but they are increasingly rare. This one is in the Sheboygan River.

Leaving Manitowoc, the SS Badger (last steam powered vessel on the Great Lakes) crosses our bow. She makes a daily run across the lake to Ludington, MI.
